1 lb macaroni
4 tbsp flour
4 tbsp butter
2 cups milk
2 cups cheese of your choice (we recommend gouda, or fontina!)
Directions:
1. Boil water for your macaroni, and cook according to macaroni directions.
2. Make a roux: melt your butter in a sauce pan. When melted, add flour. Let flour cook, stirring constantly, for 2 minutes. Add milk, stirring until mixture thickens.
3. Add cheese to your sauce, stirring until melted. Season with salt and pepper (and if you’re feeling adventurous, cayenne pepper!)
4. Add macaroni to sauce, serve hot!
