They chose to challenge Daring Cooks to make pierogi from scratch and an optional challenge to provide one filling that best represents their locale.<\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align:center;\"><em><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"http:\/\/lh6.ggpht.com\/_YmQcBSp-FtM\/TGZSlB2DlcI\/AAAAAAAACe8\/jzbvIzUFndg\/s800\/DSC_0129.JPG\" alt=\"\" width=\"560\" height=\"372\" \/><br \/>\n<\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align:center;\">We used a recipe for <a href=\"http:\/\/www.foodnetwork.com\/recipes\/emeril-live\/pats-potato-pierogis-elegante-recipe\/index.html\">Potato Pierogis.<\/a><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align:center;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"http:\/\/lh6.ggpht.com\/_YmQcBSp-FtM\/TGZSmyCQ-dI\/AAAAAAAACfA\/tR-ZFemRE24\/s800\/DSC_0133.JPG\" alt=\"\" width=\"560\" height=\"372\" \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align:center;\">We put potatoes on to boil, then cut up an onion to saute.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align:center;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" style=\"text-align:center;\">Corelyn started the pierogi dough, using cream cheese, flour, etc.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align:center;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align:center;\">When the potatoes were done, I added cheese, and some salt\/pepper, and mashed along merrily&#8230;adding onion\/zucchini as I went&#8230;<\/p>\n<p And, Liz told me that I should have fried them after boiling (which was an option on the recipe I used, but didn&#8217;t seem to be a necessity) so the pierogis were a little slimy, not going to lie.
