So when Scott asked me to make him stuffed shrimp for his birthday dinner, I researched a few options but we agreed <a href=\"http:\/\/www.foodnetwork.com\/recipes\/emeril-lagasse\/emerils-childhood-favorite-crabmeat-stuffed-shrimp-recipe\/index.html\">Emeril&#8217;s looked the best<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/garlicmysoul.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/_External_Import\/jeffhayford.com\/photos\/var\/resizes\/fun\/Vegas-baby%2C-Vegas\/191_DSC_0096.jpg?m=1297676865\" alt=\"\" width=\"512\" height=\"340\" \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">Thanks for being my friend, Scott! Thanks for this photo, and the one of us both hugging that tree in Vegas, and that one of us doing yoga in that bar&#8230;you get the idea. I&#8217;m glad you&#8217;re around!<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">Back to the food, of course.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/garlicmysoul.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/_External_Import\/garlicmysoul.com\/photos\/var\/resizes\/2011\/October\/Stuffed-Shrimp\/DSC_0438.jpg?m=1319696596\" alt=\"\" width=\"514\" height=\"341\" \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">First you make some <a href=\"http:\/\/www.foodnetwork.com\/recipes\/emeril-lagasse\/emerils-essence-recipe\/index.html\">essence<\/a>. As it turns out, essence is spicy. I used about 2\/3 of the Essence that recipe makes, and I definitely will be using 1\/2 as much next time &#8211; the stuffed shrimp had a KICK.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/garlicmysoul.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/_External_Import\/garlicmysoul.com\/photos\/var\/resizes\/2011\/October\/Stuffed-Shrimp\/DSC_0439.jpg?m=1319696597\" alt=\"\" width=\"514\" height=\"341\" \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">Take your crab meat, and drain.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/garlicmysoul.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/_External_Import\/garlicmysoul.com\/photos\/var\/resizes\/2011\/October\/Stuffed-Shrimp\/DSC_0443.jpg?m=1319696597\" alt=\"\" width=\"514\" height=\"341\" \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">Stick it in a bowl, and mix it with your essence.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/garlicmysoul.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/_External_Import\/garlicmysoul.com\/photos\/var\/resizes\/2011\/October\/Stuffed-Shrimp\/DSC_0448.jpg?m=1319696602\" alt=\"\" width=\"514\" height=\"341\" \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">Now you&#8217;re going to dice some things. Celery, green pepper, and onion.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/garlicmysoul.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/_External_Import\/garlicmysoul.com\/photos\/var\/resizes\/2011\/October\/Stuffed-Shrimp\/DSC_0449.jpg?m=1319696606\" alt=\"\" width=\"514\" height=\"341\" \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">Saute in butter.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/garlicmysoul.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/_External_Import\/garlicmysoul.com\/photos\/var\/resizes\/2011\/October\/Stuffed-Shrimp\/DSC_0451.jpg?m=1319696606\" alt=\"\" width=\"425\" height=\"640\" \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">Take some Club crackers. Emeril doesn&#8217;t specific say Club crackers, but you know that&#8217;s what he meant.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/garlicmysoul.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/_External_Import\/garlicmysoul.com\/photos\/var\/resizes\/2011\/October\/Stuffed-Shrimp\/DSC_0452.jpg?m=1319696607\" alt=\"\" width=\"514\" height=\"341\" \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">Crush &#8217;em up.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/garlicmysoul.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/_External_Import\/garlicmysoul.com\/photos\/var\/resizes\/2011\/October\/Stuffed-Shrimp\/DSC_0453.jpg?m=1319696609\" alt=\"\" width=\"514\" height=\"341\" \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">When the peppers, celery, and onions are soft, about five minutes, add your garlic.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/garlicmysoul.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/_External_Import\/garlicmysoul.com\/photos\/var\/resizes\/2011\/October\/Stuffed-Shrimp\/DSC_0455.jpg?m=1319696611\" alt=\"\" width=\"425\" height=\"640\" \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">And your roughly chopped parsley.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">Cook for about a minute. Then turn off the heat, and let your veg cool. Or, if you&#8217;re in a rush, stick it in the freezer to cool off quickly. Like I was&#8230;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/garlicmysoul.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/_External_Import\/garlicmysoul.com\/photos\/var\/resizes\/2011\/October\/Stuffed-Shrimp\/DSC_0457.jpg?m=1319696614\" alt=\"\" width=\"514\" height=\"341\" \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">Now add your veggies that have cooled to your crab meat. Mix it up!<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/garlicmysoul.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/_External_Import\/garlicmysoul.com\/photos\/var\/resizes\/2011\/October\/Stuffed-Shrimp\/DSC_0456.jpg?m=1319696613\" alt=\"\" width=\"514\" height=\"341\" \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">You&#8217;re also going to add your mayo, egg (that&#8217;s lightly beaten, see above), your lemon juice, and your Worcestershire sauce. And your hot sauce, if you&#8217;re into that type of thing. I added a little Tabasco.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/garlicmysoul.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/_External_Import\/garlicmysoul.com\/photos\/var\/resizes\/2011\/October\/Stuffed-Shrimp\/DSC_0458.jpg?m=1319696615\" alt=\"\" width=\"514\" height=\"341\" \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">Mix it up.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">Now you&#8217;re going to stuff your shrimp. As it turns out, I didn&#8217;t stuff them the right way because Scott wasn&#8217;t over and I wasn&#8217;t sure how to do it, and I didn&#8217;t Google it because I figured there was only one logical way.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/garlicmysoul.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/_External_Import\/garlicmysoul.com\/photos\/var\/albums\/2011\/October\/Stuffed-Shrimp\/DSC_0463.jpg?m=1319696616\" alt=\"\" width=\"514\" height=\"341\" \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">I sliced them down the backside, and stuffed it! Please note I used pre-cooked shrimp, but you don&#8217;t have too.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">Then Scott came, promptly laughed, and left me wondering&#8230;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/garlicmysoul.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/_External_Import\/garlicmysoul.com\/photos\/var\/resizes\/2011\/October\/Stuffed-Shrimp\/DSC_0468.jpg?m=1319696619\" alt=\"\" width=\"514\" height=\"341\" \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">How do I stuff them? Which way? (Which way would YOU stuff them??)<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/garlicmysoul.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/_External_Import\/garlicmysoul.com\/photos\/var\/resizes\/2011\/October\/Stuffed-Shrimp\/DSC_0471.jpg?m=1319696620\" alt=\"\" width=\"425\" height=\"640\" \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">Scott showed me the way&#8230;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/garlicmysoul.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/_External_Import\/garlicmysoul.com\/photos\/var\/resizes\/2011\/October\/Stuffed-Shrimp\/DSC_0473.jpg?m=1319696622\" alt=\"\" width=\"425\" height=\"640\" \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">But it was too late. The shrimp had been cut, and this was the way we must proceed.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/garlicmysoul.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/_External_Import\/garlicmysoul.com\/photos\/var\/resizes\/2011\/October\/Stuffed-Shrimp\/DSC_0478.jpg?m=1319696623\" alt=\"\" width=\"514\" height=\"341\" \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">Once you&#8217;ve stuffed them all, you&#8217;re going to drizzle melted butter over the top, and also sprinkle on the rest of your crackers.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/garlicmysoul.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/_External_Import\/garlicmysoul.com\/photos\/var\/resizes\/2011\/October\/Stuffed-Shrimp\/DSC_0479.jpg?m=1319696623\" alt=\"\" width=\"514\" height=\"341\" \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">This is the one shrimp that Scott actually stuffed the correct way.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/garlicmysoul.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/_External_Import\/garlicmysoul.com\/photos\/var\/resizes\/2011\/October\/Stuffed-Shrimp\/DSC_0482.jpg?m=1319696627\" alt=\"\" width=\"425\" height=\"640\" \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/garlicmysoul.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/_External_Import\/garlicmysoul.com\/photos\/var\/resizes\/2011\/October\/Stuffed-Shrimp\/DSC_0483.jpg?m=1319696629\" alt=\"\" width=\"514\" height=\"341\" \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">At this point, you&#8217;re going to stick the shrimp in, and make your kale. Kale is my fave. I have had it three days this week, and I am not even close to sick of it because I&#8217;ve made it a different way each time!
