{"id":12884,"date":"2013-12-16T00:03:42","date_gmt":"2013-12-16T08:03:42","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/garlicmysoul.com\/blog\/?p=12884"},"modified":"2013-12-16T00:07:40","modified_gmt":"2013-12-16T08:07:40","slug":"chocolate-pixie-cookies","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/garlicmysoul.com\/blog\/chocolate-pixie-cookies\/","title":{"rendered":"Chocolate Pixie Cookies"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>In my house at Christmas, there are several cookies to be made &#8211; usually gingerbread, <a href=\"http:\/\/garlicmysoul.com\/blog\/cookie-exchange-italian-spice\/\">Italian spice<\/a> cookies, <a href=\"http:\/\/garlicmysoul.com\/blog\/choco-coco-cookies\/\">chocolate chip<\/a> cookies, <a href=\"http:\/\/garlicmysoul.com\/blog\/cf-anginette-cookies\/\">anginette<\/a> cookies, and of course, chocolate pixies.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/garlicmysoul.com\/blog\/chocolate-pixie-cookies\/dsc_4878\/\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-12886\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-12886\" alt=\"Chocolate Pixie Cookies | Garlic, My Soul\" src=\"http:\/\/garlicmysoul.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/12\/DSC_4878.jpg\" width=\"1200\" height=\"801\" srcset=\"https:\/\/garlicmysoul.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/12\/DSC_4878.jpg 1200w, https:\/\/garlicmysoul.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/12\/DSC_4878-800x534.jpg 800w, https:\/\/garlicmysoul.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/12\/DSC_4878-500x333.jpg 500w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1200px) 100vw, 1200px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>These cookies are some of my favorites &#8211; they are chocolate cookies, rolled in powdered sugar, and stuck with a kiss!<\/p>\n<p>Here&#8217;s what you do:<\/p>\n<p><strong>Prep Time: <\/strong>20 minutes active, 30 minutes unactive<strong><br \/>\nBake Time: <\/strong>12-14 minutes<strong><br \/>\nOven Temperature: <\/strong>350<strong><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Ingredients<\/strong>:<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">4 oz cocoa<br \/>\n\u00bc cup coconut oil (or butter)<br \/>\n2 cups flour<br \/>\n2 cups sugar<br \/>\n3 eggs<br \/>\n2 tsp baking powder<br \/>\n\u00bd tsp salt<br \/>\n1 bag Hershey&#8217;s kisses<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/garlicmysoul.com\/blog\/chocolate-pixie-cookies\/dsc_4870\/\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-12888\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-12888\" alt=\"Chocolate Pixie Cookies | Garlic, My Soul\" src=\"http:\/\/garlicmysoul.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/12\/DSC_4870.jpg\" width=\"1200\" height=\"800\" srcset=\"https:\/\/garlicmysoul.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/12\/DSC_4870.jpg 1200w, https:\/\/garlicmysoul.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/12\/DSC_4870-800x533.jpg 800w, https:\/\/garlicmysoul.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/12\/DSC_4870-500x333.jpg 500w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1200px) 100vw, 1200px\" \/><\/a><strong><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Directions<\/strong>:<\/p>\n<p>1. Melt coconut oil over medium heat. Add cocoa and mix well.<br \/>\n2. Stir in remaining ingredients, mix well.<br \/>\n3. Chill 30 minutes (I know this sounds annoying, but it helps with the rolling, I promise!)<br \/>\n4. Shape into balls &#8211; about the size of a ping pong ball.<br \/>\n5. Roll in confectioners sugar, and place on greased cookie sheet or parchment paper.<br \/>\n6. Bake at 350 for about 12 minutes. While baking, unwrapped Hershey&#8217;s kisses.<br \/>\n7. As soon as they come out of the oven stick an unwrapped kiss in each one.<br \/>\n8. This one is hard, but totally worth it: let set for about 2 hours.
