How could we have been so silly?! So we immediately fixed that and made <a href=\"http:\/\/garlicmysoul.com\/blog\/fish-tacos\/\">these fish tacos<\/a>, and made some delicious sauces to go with them &#8211; including chimichurri sauce that even I liked (which is huge, because I hate cilantro!)<\/p>\n<p>First up, let&#8217;s dive into the chimichurri sauce. Spoon it on your tacos, marinate your meat in it, or just eat it on crackers&#8230;just kidding about that last one&#8230;maybe.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Chimichurri Sauce Recipe<\/strong>:<\/p>\n<p>1 bunch <strong>parsley<\/strong>, leaves finely chopped<br \/>\n1 bunch <strong>cilantro<\/strong>, leaves finely chopped<br \/>\n4 <strong>garlic<\/strong> cloves, minced<br \/>\n1 1\/2 tablespoons <strong>red wine vinegar<\/strong><br \/>\n1 1\/2 teaspoons <strong>salt<\/strong><br \/>\n1\/2 teaspoon <strong>red pepper flakes<\/strong><br \/>\n1\/2 teaspoon <strong>ground black pepper<\/strong><br \/>\n1\/2 cup<strong> olive oil<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Think of this as pesto&#8217;s cilantro-y cousin. It was great on steak and fish tacos, and I can&#8217;t wait to use it as a marinade for a big ole steak.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/garlicmysoul.com\/blog\/three-toppings-for-your-tacos\/dsc_6764\/\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-12009\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-12009\" alt=\"Taco Sauces | Garlic, My Soul\" src=\"http:\/\/garlicmysoul.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/09\/DSC_6764.jpg\" width=\"800\" height=\"534\" srcset=\"https:\/\/garlicmysoul.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/09\/DSC_6764.jpg 800w, https:\/\/garlicmysoul.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/09\/DSC_6764-652x435.jpg 652w, https:\/\/garlicmysoul.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/09\/DSC_6764-449x300.jpg 449w, https:\/\/garlicmysoul.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/09\/DSC_6764-149x100.jpg 149w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 800px) 100vw, 800px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Next we have pico de gallo. I don&#8217;t think we&#8217;ve ever posted about it, but we make it all the time for carne asada or just to have as fresh salsa. It&#8217;s basically equal parts tomato, jalapeno, onion (we use red), and cilantro. Dice them all, sprinkle with salt, squeeze a little lime juice over the top, and you&#8217;re ready for chips!<\/p>\n<p><strong>Pico de Gallo<\/strong> &#8211; a pinch of salt, squeeze of lime juice, and\u00a0equal parts:<\/p>\n<p><strong>cilantro<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>tomato<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>red onion<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>jalapeno<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/garlicmysoul.com\/blog\/three-toppings-for-your-tacos\/dsc_6760\/\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-12008\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-12008\" alt=\"Taco Sauces | Garlic, My Soul\" src=\"http:\/\/garlicmysoul.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/09\/DSC_6760.jpg\" width=\"800\" height=\"534\" srcset=\"https:\/\/garlicmysoul.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/09\/DSC_6760.jpg 800w, https:\/\/garlicmysoul.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/09\/DSC_6760-652x435.jpg 652w, https:\/\/garlicmysoul.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/09\/DSC_6760-449x300.jpg 449w, https:\/\/garlicmysoul.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/09\/DSC_6760-149x100.jpg 149w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 800px) 100vw, 800px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Last but certainly not least is this remoulade we made specifically for our fish tacos.
