As you may or may not know, we love garlic, and we were excited that a whole month is dedicated to one of our top ingredients.<\/p>\n<p>Garlic is a great ingredient for a million and one reasons; it tastes wonderful, of course, but it&#8217;s also great FOR you &#8211; it helps you absorb iron, it helps lower cholesterol, can help reduce\u00a0inflammation, lowers blood pressure, has antibacterial properties&#8230;.the list goes on. Roasting garlic is super easy and it is delicious, too. You can get them online too, but tinfoil really works, too. Just depends on how often you&#8217;re going to be baking garlic!<\/p>\n<p>So now you&#8217;re going to be baking your garlic head with a little bit of olive oil, at 400 degrees for about 30-45 minutes. Check it at the 30 minute mark &#8211; it should be\u00a0translucent\u00a0and should cut easy (like slightly melted butter!)<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/garlicmysoul.com\/blog\/national-garlic-month\/garlic_03\/\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-10532\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-10532\" alt=\"Roasted Garlic | Garlic, My Soul\" src=\"http:\/\/garlicmysoul.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/04\/garlic_03.jpg\" width=\"800\" height=\"534\" srcset=\"https:\/\/garlicmysoul.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/04\/garlic_03.jpg 800w, https:\/\/garlicmysoul.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/04\/garlic_03-652x435.jpg 652w, https:\/\/garlicmysoul.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/04\/garlic_03-449x300.jpg 449w, https:\/\/garlicmysoul.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/04\/garlic_03-149x100.jpg 149w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 800px) 100vw, 800px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>When your garlic is done, it&#8217;ll look like this &#8211; caramelized, and perfect. The individual cloves will slide right out of their casings, making it easy to pull one out and spread it all over your bread. You&#8217;ll definitely have garlic breath, but OH BOY it&#8217;ll be worth it.
